Onion Samosa/ Small Samosa.







Filling/ Stuffing ingredients-
Onion medium thinly sliced-1
Minced Ginger and Garlic-1tbsp
For Vegetarian samosa-Soy granules-1/2cup
For Non Vegetarian samosa- Minced meat( cooked with turmeric)-1/2cup
Red Chilli powder-2tsp
Turmeric powder-1/2tsp
Garam masala-1tsp
Salt to taste
Oil required

Outer Wrap ingredients-
Wheat flour-1/2cup
All purpose flour/ Maida-1/2cup
Oil-1tbsp
Salt to taste
Water required

Method
Make smooth dough out of warp ingredients and set aside for hour. Heat oil in a pan add onions and minced ginger and garlic, sauté for two mins. Add the soy granules and cook well. Then add the Red chilli powder, turmeric, garam masala and salt. Cook well till dry, when dry set aside and allow to cool. Make very thin and small chapattis, make cone out of chapatti place the filling and seal, continue this for rest of the chapatti. Heat oil in a pan, when hot fry all the samosas till golden brown. Serve hot with Tomato sauce or Mint chutney.

wow, nice samosas... I tried to make few days back with different stuffing, but the dough was a thick.. cudnt press it thin... so the final outcome was also thick and I stopped making 4 samosas.. BTW, I love the two line dedication to your Amma, very nice :)
